1. Dental Bonding
An alternative to veneers, dental bonding is an effective restorative treatment for chipped, cracked, discolored or misaligned teeth. The process: Dental bonding involves preparing the tooth by lightly etching the surface of the tooth. Once this is done a bonding liquid is applied to the prepared surface. After the liquid sets a plastic resin is applied and the sculpted by one our dentists. Once the resin is set it will be trimmed and shaped, smoothed and polished to replicate a natural appearance. The dental bonding procedure can be undertaken in one appointment, and can improve the appearance of your tooth significantly. It should be mentioned that the resin isn’t as strong as tooth enamel. This means that it is more likely to stain, chip or break than natural teeth. The bonding usually lasts between 3 to 5 years before it’ll need to be repaired.2. Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are pieces that are bonded to the damaged area of the tooth. There are three types of materials inlays and onlays can be made from: gold, composite resin and porcelain. What is the difference?- Inlays
